تعد مقبرة الملكة نفرتارى، زوجة الملك رمسيس الثانى، ومحبوبته أعجب وأفخم وأجمل وأعظم المقابر فى وادى الملكات

اكتشفها عالم الاثار الإيطالي إرنستو شياباريللي عام ١٩٠٤ ميلاديا

تحمل الرقم QV66 ضمن مقابر وادي الملكات بالبر الغربي منطقة القرنة الأثرية

تم غلق المقبرة في عام ١٩٥٠ نتيجة تكوين الاملاح وتساقط المياه والرطوبة

في عام 1986 تم الاتفاق مع معهد جيتي الامريكي لترميم اللوحات

وتم الانتهاء من أعمال الترميم في عام ١٩٩٢

لتم فتح المقبرة عام ٢٠٠٣ لعدد لا يزيد عن ١٥٠ زائر فقط لكل مرة

وفي عام ٢٠٠٦ قررت الحكومة اغلاق المقبرة بالكامل للمرة الثانية وأعيد افتتاحها في عام ٢٠١٩ بسعر تذكرة بلغ ١٤٠٠ جنيه لمن يرغب في الزيارة

ولدت الملكة نفرتاري في عام ١٣٠٠ قبل الميلاد وتوفيت عام ١٢٥٥ قبل الميلاد بالاسرة التاسعة عشرة

قام رمسيس الثاني ببناء معبد حتحور للملكة نفرتاري ليتعبدها كإله كما قام ببناء لوحات جدارية في وادي الملكات تصورها كسيدة جميلة

وقام أيضًا ببناء تماثيل لها في معبد أبو سمبل الصغير والكبير تقديرا لها

أنجبت منه أربعة أبناء هم ميرت آمون، ميري أتوم، حنوت تاوي، نبت تاوي

The tomb of Queen Nefertari, the wife of King Ramses II, and his beloved is the most impressive, luxurious, most beautiful and the greatest tomb in the Valley of the Queens

It was discovered by the Italian archaeologist Ernesto Schiaparelli in 1904 AD

It bears the number QV66 within the tombs of the Valley of the Queens on the western mainland, the archaeological area of Qurna

The cemetery was closed in 1950 as a result of the formation of salts and the precipitation of water and moisture

In 1986, an agreement was reached with the American Getty Institute to restore paintings

The restoration work was completed in 1992

The cemetery was opened in 2003 for a number of no more than 150 visitors each time

In 2006, the government decided to completely close the cemetery for the second time, and it reopened in 2019 with a ticket price of 1,400 pounds for those wishing to visit.

Queen Nefertari was born in 1300 BC and died in 1255 BC in the Nineteenth Dynasty

Ramses II built the Temple of Hathor for Queen Nefertari to worship her as a god. He also built frescoes in the Valley of the Queens depicting her as a beautiful lady.

He also built statues of her in the small and large Abu Simbel temple in her appreciation

She bore him four sons: Mert Amun, Meri Atum, Henuttawy, Nebtawy.
